Kofi says the 21 Billion that was stolen from Iraqi oil revenues was the fault of the US and Britain. His latest assurtion is that most of the money Saddam made on the side came from smuggling oil to Turkey. Annan said"the United States and Britain could have stopped the smuggling but did not, and most of the money that Saddam Hussein made illegally when his country was under U.N. sanctions in the 1990s was from smuggling oil, not from kickbacks under the U.N. oil-for-food program. I guess the thousands of ships we stopped in the gulf don't count.

Quelle Surpris Typical socialist reasoning. Venal politicians steal billions from a starving people, and it's your fault that you didn't stop them sooner. Of course, the organisation keeping the US from doing anything sooner was (wait for it) the UN. All of this could have ended back in '91 except for (you guessed it) the UN. It is this kind of talk from Kofi that will get Bolton's nomination affirmed. Oh, and I certainly agree we didn't do enough in the 90s, but I don't think Kofi and I have the same definition of 'enough'. I've got an idea for ya, Kofi...there are 187 countries in the UN. Take your 150 thugs, rapists, murderers, and general all-around turd-world asshats...and move to Brussels. We'll start a new organization.
