Testing the Walther P22...

I finally got to take the Walter P22 back out to the range in response to this. 

I grabbed 100 rounds each of four types of ammunition, Federal, Winchester, Blazer, and Remington and burned them up as fast as I could.

No keyholes, no apparent build up in the barrel, no problems, no loss of accuracy.

I have no clue what caused this to be heat welded inside the barrel on the last outing where the keyhole problem surfaced.
