New Gun Ban up in Pennsy...

| | Comments (0)

If you are a hunter or gun owner, it is imperative that you learn about the latest stroke of Pennsylvania legislative genius -- House Bill 760.

The words printed on the four pages of this bill tear up firearm ownership rights like a big bulldozer ripping into a tranquil state park. In addition, the law would surely set the stage for more gun restrictions and even confiscations. It is not a stretch to see that the proposed annual registration cost to gun owners will limit ownership and further reduce the ranks of hunters.

House Bill 760 calls for every gun in the state (with the exception of antiques) to be registered with the state police, and that registration must be renewed annually. The cost would be $10 per gun, per year. The bill also requires fingerprinting and a background check of each gun owner. A new photograph must be submitted each year and the registration card for each gun would have to be carried with the firearm at all times.

1. All non-antique guns must be registered with the State Police each and every year. Cost is $10 per year per gun.

(No estimate is available on the cost in terms of hassling the masses which the Dhimmis hope is enough to disarm the law-abiding populace.)

2. Fingerprinting is required.

3. Background checks are required.

4. A new photograph each year is required.

5. Carrying the registration card with the gun wherever it goes is required.

6. Name, age, gender, Social Security number, business address, home address, telephone number, date of birth, citizenship, and any other information that "the Pennsylvania State Police may deem necessary to process the application" are required. The gun's manufacturer, model, type, caliber or gauge, and serial number are required. (Do they require a note from your Mommy too?)

7. If the gun is lost or stolen and you fail to notify the State Police within 48 hours, you will be regarded as a criminal.

8. Selling the gun requires giving 48 hours advance notice.

9. The law might even require you to inform the State Police when your age changes.

This is actually worse than is required in New Jersey. Generated by the pukes in Philly as it happens...it's the gun's fault - God forfend they should crack down on the gang-bangers.

I may have to move a bit further west - to Tennessee.
