White Sights....

The Kimber got it's set of white sights today.
I've been upgrading the sights on the pistols that can accept them. Old eyes, don'cha know.



The last one to do is the Makarov. Unfortunately that commieweeniepistol will require a bit extra. The rear sights are tiny 1/4 inch dovetails with some unknown angle, and the front sights are machined into the slide.

Usually you send Maks away for standard Novak 60^o dovetails to be machined into the top slide.  I have the suspicion that the rear sight from a Beretta 92F will fit...at least close enough that a minimum of filing will be required.  I've bought some tiny phosphate dots I'm going to fix to the front sight with super-glue.  If that doesn't work, I'll grind down the front sight flush and braze on something from another pistol that is compatible.

Worst comes to worst - I'll just get it machined.  I love the pistol dearly, but the sights suck like Diane Feinstein.
