Guess which service I have....
Citizens do...

A local border watch group recently changed its operational name and some of its tactics due to the types of illegal immigrants its members are encountering.

Cochise Borders Civil Defense Corps is now officially known as Cochise County Militia.

Bill Davis, the director and founder of the group, said he is authorizing the carrying of rifles and shotguns, in addition to handguns. Members also can wear military-type battle dress uniforms, camouflage gear and face paint.

Program trains leaders to convince people to obey emergency orders.

It might work with people who's life is the local church and who are over 70.

Whenever a churchman gets too involved with politics, other than the politics of morality, people get suspicious.

In 61 years I've never heard the clergy say anything worth listening to outside their field, and half of what they do say is intolerant blather.

...and said the clergy team's mission was to express the sentiment: "Let's cooperate and get this thing over with and then we'll settle the differences once the crisis is over."

Sandy Davis, director of the Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, said there are several advantages, but primarily, "these clergy would already be known in the neighborhoods in which they're helping to diffuse that situation."

So government orders to abandon homes, turn over guns, leave livestock behind, or whatever would come to the minds of various officials during an "emergency," would be easier for people to accept, the report indicated.

This will not generate an army of rovebots, but it will split congregations right down the middle. Middle America may be the biggest group of churchgoers, but they are also the biggest group of .gov-sceptics, and individualists.

I think the response of most people would be..."sod off, churchy."

Except if the AP and Reuters don't want you to know about it.  This story is quarantined to two states by the MSM.  Three black druggies are shot in Newark and it's splashed across every paper in the country.  A white girl is raped and murdered by illegals and it's down the ol' memory hole.

12 Americans a day are murdered by illegals.  21,000+ since 911.  13 a day are killed by illegal alien drunk drivers.  23,700 since 911.   240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the US have an average of 4 victims each.  267,000 illegals are in American prisons.  36 percent of illegals arrested have been so at least 5 times before.

Shut the border already.  Americans are paying the price every day.  Politicians will be paying the price soon.

Immigration Laws....

| | Comments (3)
1. If you migrate to this country, you must speak the native language. 2. You must be a professional or an investor. No unskilled workers allowed. 3. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools, no special ballots for the elections, all government business will be conducted in our language. 4. Foreigners will not have the right to vote no matter how long they are here. 5. Foreigners will never be able to hold political office. 6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs. 7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage. 8. If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay. But, your options will be restricted. You are not allowed waterfront property. That is reserved for the citizens naturally born into this country. 9. Foreigners may not protest; no demonstrations, no waving a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies. If you do, you will be sent home. 10. If you come to this country illegally, you will be hunted down and sent straight to jail. Sounds harsh? Those are the immigration laws of Mexico. Thanx to the Mauser Girl. Damn, she looks just like my daughter. I wonder if she keeps a straight-razor in her socks too?

New to the Emergency Kit....

|
I added a couple of these to the emergency kits...a big one at home and a small one at work. The big one works really cool - strong and bright. Waterproof and when you shake it for a couple of minutes you get a hour of light at least. The little one isn't as powerful (or waterproof) but you needn't worry about batteries. Well, that and the fact that I like to watch the wife charge them up. I'm using the Maglights for everyday use, the Surefires on the nightstand and with the ready guns, and now these shake lights for emergency backups. This flashlight brings to mind a device associated with some weapon systems I worked with. It was a chemical battery that when activated generated 90 minutes of AC (that's right - AC) power when associated with something called a "rotary chopper". It was top secret 40 years ago, but I expect kids make them in the basement now. Although I can find nothing about it on Google.

The more things change....

Circa 1857 The more they stay the same. There is probably less street crime in 2006 than there was in 1857, but New Yorkers are still helpless...and getting more so. Seeing I'm the only known right-wing-death-beast gunny among my 1500 co-workers, I bet I've had a half-dozen people ask me to help them get thru the paperwork to be able to own a gun in NYC. I'm taking two of them shooting in a couple of weeks. I’m going to go ahead and call Bloomberg’s latest antics of sending private investigators to investigate gun shops in other states for the purpose of suing them a victory for gun rights. Why, you may ask? Simple. It essentially shows that NY’s stringent and draconian gun laws are not having the desired affect. Since folks are unwilling to deal with the real issues after their ideas fail, they must have a scapegoat. In this case, that scapegoat is SC, GA, VA, etc. The facts are that NY has some of the most stringent/draconian gun laws in the country (in third place, with DC first and Chicago second) but they still have a significant number of gun crimes. Since they passed the laws, there must be some reason those aren’t working and it must be due to the failue of other states. Otherwise, they’d have to admit their laws are not an effective means to their end. - SayUncle
The Republicans lost the mid-term elections in 2006, and the Presidential election in 2008. A sop to the base that will do squat. Two years from now another 2 million illegals will be in the country...and everyone of them will be expecting amnesty. If this doesn't prove that this guy isn't a conservative, I don't know what does. The text of the speech is after the jump. Some points.... By the end of 2008, we will increase the number of Border Patrol officers by an additional 6,000.
Only about 20,000 short
So in coordination with governors, up to 6,000 Guard members will be deployed to our southern border.
Only about 40,000 short. With downtime and replacements that's about 1 man a mile. Yeah, that'll work.
I believe that illegal immigrants who have roots in our country and want to stay should have to pay a meaningful penalty for breaking the law … to pay their taxes … to learn English … and to work in a job for a number of years.
Sounds like amnesty to me.
The President has already gotten the information of what it will take to close the border from last years Immigration Reform Caucus. 48,000 troops for a maximum of two years....drawn down steadily as we increase the size of the Border Petrol to 25,000 men. As the Guard draws down and the BP increases, take the time to emplace electronic, physical, and airborne resources to secure the border. Then you can play games with amnesty. Not everyone agrees that the Rs have shot themselves in the foot, but I think he's whistling in the dark.
The Gun Culture (in Ol' Blighty) has reported on the recent change in security level in England. PRESS RELEASE: The British are feeling the pinch in relation to recent bombings and have raised their security level from “Miffed” to “Peeved.” Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to “Irritated” or even “A Bit Cross.” Londoners have not been “A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorised from “Tiresome” to a “Bloody Nuisance.” The last time the British issued a “Bloody Nuisance” warning level was during the great fire of 1666. Also, the French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from “Run” to “Hide”. The only two higher levels in France are “Surrender” and “Collaborate.” The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France’s white flag factory, effectively paralysing the country’s military capability. It’s not only the English and French that are on a heightened level of alert. Italy has increased the alert level from “shout loudly and excitedly” to “elaborate military posturing”. Two more levels remain, “ineffective combat operations” and “change sides”. The Germans also increased their alert state from “disdainful arrogance” to “dress in uniform and sing marching songs”. They also have two higher levels: “invade a neighbour” and “lose”. Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual and the only threat they worry about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.
I added the American twist.... The US raised its threat level on 9-11 from What? to No, really...What?. The lowest level, Did you hear about Bennifer?, hasn't been used since 9-10. Two higher levels remain....WTF, and Parking Lot!...
Update: From Just below the snowline, in Victoria, Australia, Anton the Irrascable sends: Australia has moved its threat levels from 'nother beer, Blue?' to 'F*ck, what was that bang?' The highest level, not seen since 1940 is, "Fancy a trip to Europe? The f*cking Frogs are in trouble again!' And from Nelson, New Zealand comes 5 levels from Mr. Putter: 1. Shirl, fetch me gumboots 2. She'll be right mate! 3. Someone's playing silly bugger 4. Where are those Aussie B'stards when you need them? 5. America HELP!
After forging a agreement among 70+ senators, it fell apart before a vote.... Not one of these pukes want to close the borders. The sticking points: One amendment would have required the Department of Homeland Security to certify that the border was secure before creating a guest worker program or granting legal status to illegal immigrants. Another would have had the legalization program bar illegal immigrants who had deportation orders or had been convicted of a felony or three misdemeanors. Democratic critics of the proposals said they were intended to ensure that the legalization process would never be implemented.

Crummy News....

|
Heard on the radio on the way home.... The congress is close to an agreement concerning illegal immigration.... Anyone who has been here for 5 years can stay (about 7 million) and work toward citizenship, but
  • Not a word about closing the borders
  • Not a word about what services they should be getting while they're waiting
  • And they are saying that the president will sign it.
Not a word about fucking CLOSING THE GODDAM'D BORDERS! I hope we get a conservative in the Whitehouse next time. I'm getting sick of this guy who only looks good in comparison to what we would get from the Dims. Oh, and yesterday I heard Hannity talking about how both Pelosi and Feinstein were rabid for closing the borders back in '94. The 'Pelosi Plan' even tried to use the California National Guard for that purpose, but could never get the military to go for it. I never thought I would agree with anything those gun-grabbing bitches wanted to do, but.....oops, sorry, they've changed their story now that a (so-called) Republican is in the Whitehouse.

(Whistleblower) Tice told ABC that NSA operated with the mindset that "we've got to get these guys" (terrorists). In other words, the agency wanted to do its job, and prevent future terrorist attacks against the United States. - In from the Cold
Am I missing something...what's wrong with trying to prevent future terrorist attacks?
Note: In From The Cold is the blog of a former intelligence agent...he's got some good current thoughts on Iran.

Amazingly no one was killed...

Here are the rules for taking your guns on an airline.... The last time I did this (circa 1967), I handed two rifles and a pistol (all cased) to the stewardess as I walked on the plane. She set them in a closet at the front end, and handed them back to me when we landed. One time I carried weapons onto a train and stowed them in the overhead for a day or so. No fuss, no feathers, and no blood in the streets.

RealID act...passed

|
The real ID act passed in the senate with no debate, no reading of the text, and without a dissenting vote. If a state doesn't comply with this act, they lose all federal money...and that ain't gonna happen. In three years when it takes effect, we will be well on our way to a police state. Not one fucking senator voted against it. I even wrote to the twits from Jersey last week - and got no answer. The word is the President signed this thing into law that night. The law standardizes driver's licenses in an effort to curb driving by illegals. I think it is just the tip of the iceberg. Next is RFID chips in your 'papers'. You won't be able to get on a plane or enter a federal or state facility without being tracked. It can be used to track all of your purchases. To me, the worst thing is how it will easily enable a defacto national gun registry by any name, a registry of all the guns, powder, and shot you buy, and look for them to make private sales illegal. Not all states are as bad as New Jersey, but they will be after this goes into effect. All it takes is requiring you to show your license when you purchase anything. It requires real addresses - no PO boxes. That means dead cops and judges who regularly conceal their home addresses now from dirtbags. Stolen identities, anyone? Who actually thinks that the databases will be secure? The government will be up your ass much more than they are now. No matter what they say, this database will be shared with other agencies. Paperien, Bitte!!!! You'll be required to show more and more ID as a way to track you. It will have no effect on illegal immigrants driving - they'll just drive without a license. Betrayed! The Senate has just concocted a way for any future government to identify any national group that they want....including gun owners. I'm voting libertarian from now on...period.

I hate the idea of this...

|
It won't be long before they imbed a chip in your arm...that's the plan. RFID cards for all. You will be able to be tracked where ever you go. You can't get on a plane, open a bank account, get a social security check, buy a gun, or do any of a thousand things you do now without being watched, tracked, and monitored. This sucks.
An Essay by member Control Group on the High Road forum...brought to you by the Geek An Excerpt: Throughout human history, the same tale is told over, and over, and over again. A mighty civilization rises, a shining beacon of culture and science and architecture and art. It lasts for generations, for centuries. And then the barbarians arrive. They see no value in running water, in the written word, in waste disposal, in magnificent buildings. They come to plunder and burn, to rape and kill, and this mighty civilization is laid to waste. The barbarians, you see, may not be able to read, and they may not know how to build an aqueduct, and they may not have any use for the elderly or infirm, but they do know how to kill. They understand that, in the final analysis, might does make right. Enough people with enough axes can ignore whatever laws, rules, or ethics might stop a lesser force. Barbarism, it seems, is the natural human condition. If history itself isn't convincing enough, look at the world today. There's rioting in the streets of Los Angeles - what's guaranteed? Looting. They can't stop us, we'll take everything we can get our hands on. A tsunami slams into the shores of South Asia, with a resulting death toll of hundreds of thousands. What happens in the aftermath? European slavers snatch up lost little girls to sell to the depraved. Surrounded by crushing poverty, a Somalian Warlord slaughters his neighbors and buys drugs for his henchmen. These are not isolated events, they're not outliers off the curve, they're not exceptions to the rule. They are the rule. When we as a species climbed down from the trees and decided to generate what we call human history, we didn't do it by forming committees and drawing up budget proposals, we did it by inventing better ways to kill everyone else. The human urge to destroy, the instinct to take by force what others have gained by labor is part of our genetic makeup. Should anyone doubt this, or claim that "only humans make war," I recommend researching the Four-Year War at Gombe. The entire essay after the jump...

The Cost to Texas....

|
Analysis of the latest Census data indicates Texas’ illegal immigrant population is costing the state’s taxpayers more than $4.7 billion per year for education, medical care and incarceration. Even if the estimated tax contributions of illegal immigrant workers are subtracted, net outlays still amount to more than $3.7 billion per year. The annual fiscal burden amounts to about $725 per Texas household headed by a native-born resident.
It really has gotten to the point where the people who live down there have had to take matters into their own hands. The President calls the Minutemen project vigilantes and the media calls them gun nuts. The reality is something different...Minutemen are humanely feeding illegals they come across and then are removed from further patrols for violating strict procedure. Either the government starts securing the border, or the people of the Southwest will do it themselves. The MSM is just dying for something to go wrong, and the ACLU is living on the border (and setting off alarms). The Mexican drug gangs are threatening to attack across the border, and the Mexican army is directing illegals to areas of the border not patrolled by the Minutemen. The longer this goes on, the more chance there is that someone will get hurt. It wouldn't surprise me to see the media stage something that looks real good on the tube....and I'm sure the moonbat branch of the judiciary is just aching to slam someone who is just trying to protect their homes.
Saudi government foments religious hatred in U.S. What is happening in some American mosques, including a few in the Chicago area, is deeply disturbing. In certain Islamic schools, textbooks spit vitriol against Jews, Christians and other non-Muslims: "Be disassociated from the infidels, hate them for their religion." In mosque publications, America is the "Abode of the Infidel." The idea of human and civil rights is heresy. Working women are immoral. Link thru Cox and Forkum

Update on Coptic Murders....

Authorities reveal details in killing of Jersey City family Wednesday, January 19, 2005 BY JOE MALINCONICO Star-Ledger Staff Authorities yesterday provided their most detailed description of what they found in the Jersey City home where an Egyptian immigrant family of four was murdered last week. In response to widespread speculation that the crime stemmed from religious fanaticism, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office noted that the killers left behind no hate messages, nor did they desecrate Coptic Christian artifacts that belonged to the family. In fact, authorities disclosed that the Coptic Cross tattoos which all four family members had on their inside right wrists "were not defaced." More after the Jump....

Update: Coptic Family Slain....

| | TrackBacks (0)
More than 2000 people attended the funeral for the family in Jersey City...carrying the caskets down Bergan Ave. The older daughter was tortured before her throat was slit, the youngest was only 8 years old. One daughter had a Coptic Cross tattoo'd on her wrist...it was slashed. Would it have been different if this family had firearms to protect themselves...I don't know. There was no forced entry. Relatives say nothing was taken, but the cops say there was no money in the man's wallet and jewelry was taken. The Coptic community says it was Islamists. We'll see. Either way, whomever did this needs to be killed while trying to escape...before the ACLU gets on the case.
New York Post "This is not a robbery, Ayed said. "We found all of the jewelry in the house. They didn't take anything." Milad Garas, an uncle of Amal Garas, said Saturday that he was told investigators are probing whether the killings could have been prompted in part by the chat sessions. He also pointed to a passage in the Muslim holy book, the Quran, that details how enemies should be killed - bound and their throats slit, an assertion that drew a rebuttal from some Islamic scholars, but was supported by others. A translation of passage 47:4 of the Quran reads in part: "Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers [in fight], smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly [on them]." "There is a very wide range of interpretation of that, and it depends on where people are in the spectrum," said Frederick M. Denny, a professor of religious studies at the University of Colorado and author of more than a dozen books on Islam. "If they were going toward the extremist side, it could lead someone to believe it is justified. ... There are those that take that [passage] quite literally."
They were killed in exact muslim standards for kufrs...even the children.

Teachers should carry guns...

Oct. 7, 2004 — Schools in six states in particular are being watched closely based on information uncovered by the U.S. military in Baghdad this summer, law enforcement and education officials told ABC News. A man described as an Iraqi insurgent involved in anti-coalition activities had downloaded school floor plans and safety and security information about elementary and high schools in the six states, according to officials. School officials in Fort Myers, Fla.; Salem, Ore.; Gray, Ga.; Birch Run, Mich.; two towns in New Jersey; and two towns in California have been told to increase security in light of the discovery. Officials in the New Jersey towns, Franklinville and Rumson, were notified by counterterrorism officials last month that their schools had been possibly singled out.
