Another Czar Bites The Dust

In the flurry of news this week, you may have missed another body tossed under the insatiable Obama bus - Internet Czar Susan Crawford.

The White House aide cited by the Spectator notes that radical figures within the administration "are just a bunch of targets on our back that we can't shake."

That last line is a keeper. The full quote obtained by the American Spectator: "They haven't done us any good on any level, and now they are just a bunch of targets on our back that we can't shake."  Yes, that's in reference to the radical elements appointed all over the administration, not just the net neutrality extremists.

In one of my rare opportunities to listen to Rush this afternoon (I work, after all) he was hilarious.

Diversity boss: Whites must 'step down'
Obama appointee declares positions of power should go to 'people of color, gays'

With former Obama green jobs czar Van Jones gone, along with his views about whites directing poisons to minorities, focus is now shifting to race-based views of "diversity czar" Mark Lloyd, who has suggested "white people" step down from positions of power to allow "more people of color, gays" and "other people" to take those positions. Lloyd's comments also sparked controversy when he praised Chavez during a June 2008 Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, saying the Venezuelan president had led "really an incredible revolution - a democratic revolution."

In addition to his comments at the May 2005 Conference on Media Reform about affirmative action and rooms "full of whites," Lloyd also told the crowd, "There are few things I think more frightening in the American mind than dark-skinned black men.

Bullet makers can't keep up with demand
Americans usually buy about 7 billion rounds of ammunition a year, according to the National Rifle Association. In the past year, that figure has jumped to about 9 billion rounds, said NRA spokeswoman Vickie Cieplak.
Bullet-makers are working around the clock, seven days a week, and still can't keep up with the nation's demand for ammunition.

Barack Obama ready to slash US nuclear arsenal

Obama has rejected the Pentagon's first draft of the "nuclear posture review" as being too timid, and has called for a range of more far-reaching options consistent with his goal of eventually abolishing nuclear weapons altogether, according to European officials.
The review is due to be completed by the end of this year, and European officials say the outcome is not yet clear. But one official said: "Obama is now driving this process. He is saying these are the president's weapons, and he wants to look again at the doctrine and their role."

ACORN Story Grows But Mainstream Media Refuse to Cover It

The 4th video was a surreal visit to an ACORN office where an employee was helping them with funding and admitted to being an ex-prostitute and to killing her husband.

It's a creepy ACORN Guy Soliciting Hannah, Asking How He Can Help Smuggle Girls Across Border.

This is so disgusting.

I Attended a stop of the Tea Party Bus Tour in front of the Town Hall in Toms River this evening.  Tomorrow they head to DC for the 9/12 protest.  I hear that one is going to be huge, but I can't hobble around for miles like I used to.





There were a lot of people there...it had to be a couple of thousand...amazing for a rainy, windy evening.  My sign, of course, was voted best of show.

Obama Regulation Czar Advocated Removing People's Organs Without Explicit Consent

Cass Sunstein, President Barack Obama's nominee to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), has advocated a policy under which the government would "presume" someone has consented to having his or her organs removed for transplantation into someone else when they die unless that person has explicitly indicated that his or her organs should not be taken.
 
Under such a policy, hospitals would harvest organs from people who never gave permission for this to be done.

...And he hates guns too.

Next is this guy Mark Lloyd, communications Czar.

He spoke of Chavez's "incredible revolution, a democratic revolution," and of the "property owners and the folks who then controlled the media in Venezuela" who "rebelled" and who "worked to oust him." Still, said Lloyd, Chavez "came back with another revolution, and then ... began to take very seriously the media in his country."

The solution to this supposed problem? The report advised limiting how many stations can be owned, which means you would take property away from some people.

You would get a lot tougher on renewing licenses of those who don't play the game according to profit-eroding, make local-groups-happy rules and you would assess enormous fees to give money to public radio if there was insufficient saluting of all this. It adds up to go broke or go broke.

Do you maybe begin to see that Lloyd is not as distant as you might like from Chavez, who has been happily revoking radio licenses of the politically non-compliant in his country?

War erupts over Glenn Beck TV show: Fans fight back

Van Jones, m'Bonga's new Jobs Czar is an admitted radical communist

NewsBusters exposed Van Jones is a co-founder of ColorofChange. The group's executive director is James Rucker, who previously served as director of Grassroots Mobilization for the radical MoveOn.org.

Immediately following the NewsBusters report, ColorofChange scrubbed its site of any mention of Jones. However, a Google cache of the site lists Jones as a founder.

After NewsBusters pointed out the deletion, ColorofChange added Jones back to its site but now claims "Van hasn't been active in the work of ColorofChange in recent years."

"After helping ColorofChange get started in 2005, Van moved on to other pursuits," the website now claims.

Previously, the site simply listed Jones as a co-founder but did not claim any distance from the radical activist.

Most major media reports on the ColorofChange campaign fail to note Jones is a founder of the group or that Beck has been reporting critically on Jones.

Beck's program, meanwhile, has been taking major hits from the ColorofChange campaign.

Geico and Lawyers.com have pulled their ads from the Fox News show, and Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance and SC Johnson have all claimed their ads were run in error and vowed to correct the mistake.

Fox News said most of the companies will have their ads shifted to other Fox programs.

According to the White House blog, Jones' duties include helping to craft job-generating climate policy and to ensure equal opportunity in the administration's energy proposals.

Jones, formerly a self-described "rowdy black nationalist," boasted in a 2005 interview with the left-leaning East Bay Express that his environmental activism was a means to fight for racial and class "justice."

Jones was president and founder of Green For All, a nonprofit organization that advocates building a so-called inclusive green economy.

Until recently, Jones was a longtime member of the board of Apollo Alliance, a coalition of labor, business, environmental and community leaders that claims on its website to be "working to catalyze a clean energy revolution that will put millions of Americans to work in a new generation of high-quality, green-collar jobs."

He was a founder and leader of the communist revolutionary organization Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM. The organization had its roots in a grouping of black people organizing to protest the first Gulf War. STORM was formally founded in 1994, becoming one of the most influential and active radical groups in the San Francisco Bay area.

STORM worked with known communist leaders. It led the charge in black protests against various issues, including a local attempt to pass Proposition 21, a ballot initiative that sought to increase the penalties for violent crimes and require more juvenile offenders to be tried as adults.

The leftist blog Machete 48 identifies STORM's influences as "third-worldist Marxism (and an often vulgar Maoism)."

Speaking to the East Bay Express, Van Jones said he first became radicalized in the wake of the 1992 Rodney King riots, during which time he was arrested.

"I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th," he said. "By August, I was a communist."

But they write fiction about Palin. Daily. So why not tell the truth about Obama and his reported strange sexual predilections? My question is, it is well known that Obama allegedly was involved with a crack whore in his youth. Very seedy stuff. Why aren't they pursuing that story? Find the ho, give her a show!  Obama trafficked in some very deviant practices. Where's the investigation?

I see m'Bonga as being way out of his depth.  A typical black guy would leap to the defense of this prof as a knee jerk reaction.  m'Bonga acted like a typical black guy would.

As best as I can determine, m'Bonga is just what you see him as...he is not a good politician and certainly not a good statesman.  He's just a product of his background and he reacts as someone like that would.

Not necessarily bad, but certainly not what you would expect from someone wielding that kind of power.  That doesn't bode well if he every had to really face someone in the great game.  Unlike Chaney for Bush, all of m'Bonga's advisors are hacks.

My wife and I enjoyed talking to the people around us.  It was not a political rally...it was a tax protest.  My sign got a lot of attention...dozens of people took it's picture or congratulated me on it.

Probably about 500 people. As soon as we started getting addressed by politicians, and wannabe politicians, I lost interest and bailed after a couple of hours.  The only one I found interesting was Steve Lonegan, recent conservative candidate for Governor.  They had petitions to sign and were arranging a mass trip to DC on 9/12.

The Nuance is giving me a Headache...

Yesterday on Brett Baier's show, Mara Liason played Obama-apologist by claiming that Obama didn't really want Chavez crony Zelaya returned to power; he really wanted him deposed, and was happy with the outcome. However, she contended, he was displeased by the way it was accomplished, and furthermore, needed to say he supported the re-installation of Zelaya. Even though he didn't.

Glenn Beck said yesterday there were provisions in the bill that established national building codes based on CA "green codes" that all new houses would have to meet. Also, any old house sold would also have to be inspected by the federal code man and be updated to meet the new codes before it could be sold.

Fuck me!  My house is 99 years old.  The wall studs are cedar with bark on two sides in the oldest part of the house.  Insulation is only in the areas I have renovated.  I've got three visible roof structures up in the attic.   Much of the electric wiring is the old style cloth covering. It would be cheaper for me to burn it to the ground and build again.
